Doing a 3 week 2nd honeymoon trip with my wife of 30 years. Hired a travel consultant to do the legwork. For the Seville part of the trip they hired Not Just Tourist. We did 2 things though them 1) an electric bike tour all around Seville. Unbelievably fun. Our guide was Javier. The city is both historic and beautiful and ebikes are the best way to see it. The thing that really made this tour great was our guide. Javier came from Chile 4 years ago with his wife who is pursuing a Ph.D. He obviously has read a lot about Spanish and Seville’s history as the breadth of his knowledge was extraordinary. His enthusiasm and obvious love for his city and his job is infectious. After the tour he took us to his favorite Tapas spot and joined us for a fantastic lunch. It was an amazing day and since my wife and I are going to meet Javier and his wife I’m certain tonight will be memorable as well. I can’t recommend this tour and Javier enough. Truly awesome. Best to do on the first day of your stay in Seville as you can really get a feel for the layout and the history of the city, then you can go back and spend for time at the places that interest you. 2) We were heading to Albufreira, Portugal next. There are no trains that could get us there from Seville as it is the end of the train service in the southwest of the country. Rather than rent a car and drive ourselves, Not Just a Tourist arranged for the car and driver. Our driver Eduardo met us on time and in front of our hotel in a very nice 5 series BMW. The 2 1/2 drive flew by as Eduardo told us all about his family, the history of Spain and what we were seeing as we drove by. My wife and I love to travel, not so much for the sights but for the people we meet along the way. The 2 people from Not Just a Tourist made our stay in Seville far more memorable than the sights themselves. Thank you so much.
