We had an outstanding walking and tapas tour in Seville. Sarah was our guide and is probably the most energetic and engaging tour guide we’ve ever met, Seville is a great city so see on foot, and we covered all of the main sites including the amazing Plaza de España building in the 1929 World’s Fair. That evening we crossed the river for tapas in Triana, a suburb of Seville. Sarah picked some great restaurants for us and the tapas were delicious. All in all, a very memorable day!

First off, I MUST highlight the dedicated and patient tour guides who fulfilled the company’s policy of time flexibility, way beyond the call of duty. The company’s policy is to not rush the clients and to complete all tours as planned, even if it takes much more time than stated. Our first tour, a 4-hour walking tour of Seville, ended over an hour late. Our second, a full day tour ended up 4 hours over! Many thanks to Jose/Javier, and most definitely to Miguel!
As others have also mentioned, Mahsa helped to organize the tours and was very proactive and helpful in communicating with us along the way.
We did 3 tours with Not Just A Tourist.
The first was a 4-hour walking tour of Seville and Jose (& Javier who was getting trained up) did a good job of keeping us informed and entertained as we made our way through the afternoon heat in Seville. We might have stayed on an extra day or two if we had known how much more interesting the city was than we originally expected. Jose even kindly marked up a map of Cordoba with places to see and a suggested itinerary for our own DIY day trip the following day.
The second was a horse riding experience where we were taken to a stable about 20 minutes outside the city where we rode some lovely tame horses in the countryside for about 90 minutes or so. No one in my family had any previous experience but Inma, the young lady who was guiding us that morning, was very patient and helpful. It was a different experience for us city bumpkins to go for a relaxing ride in the countryside. The horses were very calm and sedate, easy to control. My kids (and ourselves) had a fun time.
Finally, we took a full day driven tour to Las Pueblas Blancas and Ronda with Miguel. He tweaked the itinerary to have more scenic viewpoints and photo-taking when he learned about our habit of taking lots of pictures. Miguel had an extremely friendly and cheerful personality, and although we ended up way over-shooting our allotted time, he was extremely patient with us all the way to the end. We had a great time with him. Highly recommended.
Overall, we were very impressed by the level of professionalism, commitment and flexibility we experienced.

Fantastic private walking tour led by Abby. Sarah, who has been helping us with our bookings also joined, so an easy to handle . foursome. Jane and I were delighted with the variety, the insights and the history. Abby knew a lot of the architecture stories and Sarah filled in any gaps with interesting tidbits. Both are passionate about Seville, its people and its history. Started in Plaza Nuevo, wandered through the grounds around the Seville Cathedral, the Royal Alcázar of Seville into Santa Cruz and the Old Jewish quarter. Then headed through the palace gardens to Plaza de España, which is still an amazing structure. From there we headed along the river to a great market with tons of restaurant choices. Mercado Lonja del Barranco. Time for a glass of wine or two and a bite. Great day, very enjoyable, would highly recommend.

I was staying in Seville for 8 days and wanted to use it as a base for exploring the region. I contacted Not Just a Tourist, explaining what I would like to see and experience, and ended up booking something like 10 tours with them, both walking tours in Seville, and tours outside of Seville.
After spending 8 days with the team from Not Just a Tourist, I can only say that I cannot recommend them highly enough! Everything was great: stress-free organization, places to visit, adjusting to my interests (including hunting for pokemons – thanks Javi! :)), knowledgeable guides… As many other reviewers pointed out – guides and drivers make you feel like you are visiting places with friends.
If you are planning to visit Seville, definitely check out Not Just a Tourist offer of tours.
Again, big thanks to the team (Javier, Caro, Miguel, Enrique and Roberto) for such a memorable trip.

Davy is an excellent guide because he is passionate about the city, and I posed him the challenge of making me fall in love with Seville and he succeeded. He was not only knowledgeable about the sites that we walked by, but was able to answer any one of my questions and add on extra interesting facts and tidbits which is the sign of a truly gifted guide. His enthusiasm is contagious and he is an essential for experiencing the true Sevilla. Thank you so much, for such a special tour.

We used Not Just a Tourist for a four hour walking tour of Sevilla and guided experience at the April Fair (we had one full day) and for a transfer to Granada via Cordoba. For the walking tour, we had a lovely time with two guides for our family (Nestor and Angela). Not only were they incredibly knowledgeable, they were very friendly, enthusiastic, and fun to be with. Nestor even showed up with Spanish lollipops for my kids. I was a bit concerned about the amount of time walking around with the kids, but they made sure to stop at a cafe and take some time to relax before carrying on. The kids also loved the tour and made no complaints (quite rare).
Later that day, we met to go the Feria de Abril. They organized a horse drawn carriage to take us there, and then we joined right in the festivities. Because this was a smaller custom tour (with one other family) and our guide (David) was a local, we were able to experience the Fair like locals. We went to two casetas (private tents) and had wonderful tapas and drinks and even danced Sevillanas. This would not have been possible with other tour companies. This was easily the HIGHLIGHT of our time in Spain.
The following morning, Nestor picked us up for our transfer (minivan) to Granada. We stopped in Cordoba for a quick local breakfast and then on to a group walking tour (about 30 people with headsets) including the Cordoba Mosque. Incredible. After, we had lunch at a very authentic, non touristy restaurant. Nestor then drove us (a very careful and good driver) to Granada.
We can’t thank you enough for giving us such a wonderful experience in Andalucia! We would HIGHLY recommend this professional and friendly tour company and only wish we had had more time to spend with them. Finally, all communications from the point of contact until our arrival home were extremely thorough, professional and given great consideration.
Do yourself a favor and book now! You won’t regret it…

My husband and I arrived in Seville and booked a four hour walking tour with this company. There was only one other guest along with us. Our guide, Caroline Biolay, is an historian from France. Along with her was another guide completing his training, Jesus Jurado. Caroline is extremely knowledgeable about Seville and its history. Both were charming, engaging, and so enthusiastic teaching us about a city they clearly love.
The following day, we booked a private all day tour to Alhambra. Our driver Enrique, and our guide Javier, arrived right on time and whisked us away in a nice car for the two hour drive to Alhambra. The company arranged our tour through the Alhambra as part of a small group. After, we met back up with Javi who took us for a beautiful lunch, a tour of the Muslim neighborhood, and the Cathedral. Javi was knowledgeable, fun, enthusiastic and a great guide. He was so kind to recommend to us a restaurant for dinner when we arrived back in Seville and even made a reservation for us. Enrique is a great driver and we felt very secure in his hands. It was a second great day for us in Seville.

The company suggested we take the tour at night to coincide with the sunset which was a great choice. Fillipo was a very knowledgeable guide who was flexible to what we wanted to see and hear. He was able to answer all our questions and give us a lot of very interesting information about the history of the city. I would highly recommend this walking tour not only to get a local perspective on the city of Sevilla, but also it’s historical impact on a the world as we know it today!
