More information
As you approach Ronda you will surely wonder how on earth this amazing town was constructed up so high. To find out we will take you through the lush Andalusian valleys and up deep into the heart of it’s stunning white facade.
As one of the oldest towns in Spain, located between the sea and the mountains, Ronda’s history is coloured and complex. This has left behind a melting pot of amazing architecture, friendly locals and some of the area’s best tapas – all in a jaw dropping setting. You will be spoilt for choice on the selection of local wines, and for something truly authentic, pair this with rabbit, slow cooked in garlic and mushrooms – yum!
Follow the cobbled stones through the white washed narrow streets and you will see why Ronda was the place of Europe’s most romantic poets. Declare your love from the balcony of lovers, lull in the infamous Alameda del Tajo or one of it’s tranquil plazas. All of which are smothered in the colours of sweet smelling flowers and boast hair-tingling views.
Where there is love, there is pain. Understand the truth behind Spain’s modern history, it’s people and it’s bullfighting. Bullfighting as we now know it was born in Ronda and is now an emblem of the country.
To reach the magnificent bullring it’s across ‘The Bridge’ (entrance not included)! Connecting the old and new town, the New Bridge offers amazing views of the Serrania of Ronda and the valley below.
What goes up, must come down! We will head down the windy path to look up through the gorge at the bridge’s impressive arches, looming almost 100m over us. Feel your stomach turn as you now see Ronda sitting delicately on the mountain edge. What a site.

Great tour with Miguel of Not Just a Tourist out of Granada, Spain to visit Ronda & the Pueblos Blancos. The tour guide was very informative, personable and willingly answered all our questions. Highly recommended.
Birch Long –
I took a private tour through the white villages to Ronda. A really lovely day, great tour guide. I was alone but it made the tour even better as I had the feeling I was with a friend driving around and enjoying tapas in nice company.

This region is very gorgeous and should not be missed on any trip in Andalucia. We are not much into culture but as nature lovers it was the perfect trip. We visited Ronda and its impressive bridge, hiked up the old castle in Zahara and went around the old city wall of Rond where there were no tourists at all. Best trip ever!

We booked two excursions with Not Just a Tourist. The first was a driver and van from Granada to Ronda. Carlos, our driver, was amazing. He knew so much about the history, geography, climate, agriculture, food, etc. of the Andalucia region. And he was very pleasant and good-natured to boot. We really enjoyed the day we spent driving with him.

Fantastic day trip to Ronda and the white villages from Granada. Our host was Carlos and he was first class. Knowledgeable, courteous and a joy to spend the day with. Nothing was too much trouble, he provided one of the best tour experiences we have ever had. Highly recommended.

Pedro is absolutely fantastic. So friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He was also able to tailor the tour to our needs. I would thoroughly recommend him. He has such a positive attitude and it was a delight to spend our day and share our experience with him. I cannot remember the name of our driver, but he also was professional and friendly. The online service was great, nothing was too much trouble, and the rate of replying was really quick. It was great not being part of a super large group.

We had a great day and stopped a few places along the way. We visited 3 towns and took the long windy mountain roads to see spectacular scenery. We were lucky to have such great weather, so we were able to walk all three towns and visit some shops, stop for coffee, and have lunch out. Thanks again for this great visit.

We signed up for this all day small group tour for my family. It ended up being one of the best tours ever! We enjoyed great scenery, saw some mountain goats, took amazing photos, walked in the old town of Ronda, tried old Spanish cheese, did wine tasting.

The tour took us to Ronda and a couple of the white villages in between. It took about 9 hours in total and we had a an amazing time with our guide. He showed us nature, history, and Spanish culture and booked us in a very nice restaurant.
