Our Cordoba excursion takes you back in time to the glorious kingdom of Al Andalus. Set gracefully on the edge of the legendary Guadalquivir river, Cordoba has got a lot to offer to the day traveler.
Highlights
This full-day excursion from Seville will take you back in time to the glorious kingdom of Al-Andalus. Cordoba, situated on the legendary Guadalquivir River, boasts monuments to both its Islamic and Christian heritage.
See its mosque known as the Mezquita, a fine example of Islamic architecture that features intricate arches. Note the contrast with the Gothic style of the city’s World Heritage-listed cathedral.
Walk along the narrow alleys of the former Jewish quarter. As your walk continues, take a look inside any of the typical patios, known as cordobeses, and enjoy the sight of colorful pots of flowers hanging from the walls.
See the Real Caballerizas, a fortress that witnessed the grandeur of Cordoba as the kingdom´s metropolis. Take time to stop at one of the many traditional bars in the old town and reward your palate with Spanish delicacies such as flamenquin or salmorejo.
You might like to visit the museum of Julio Romero de Torres, the prominent local artist whose style portrays the beauty of Flamenco.
Finally, take a walk along the historic river to admire the stunning views and see the enormous mills that were used to lift water to the city.

We spent 5 days in Seville and were lucky to come across Not Just a Tourist. They asked us about our preferences and were very professional in designing a customized program for our family of 4. Kids really loved the cooking class and horse riding as well as the flamenco lessons. We did a day trip to beautiful white villages and Ronda, where we could visit an enchanting old olive oil and enjoy amazing views. We also took a day trip to Cordoba, Miguel, our guide was very knowledgeable about the history and even took us for a nice walk along the river. The tapas tour was just generous and fun and the cooking class was very informative and included a walk in a very local neighborhood, which we would have not found by ourselves. We definitely recommend this company as a very creative way to explore Seville.

They are the best in spain. We were travelling with a small kid of 2 years and parents, however they made everything easy for us.
On the first day for our city tour we met sarah and she was warm, energetic and really helped us get an overview of the city. Tapas pf triana she selected was also amazing.
On the second day we went to alhambra with miguel which was again wonderful.
3 rd day was the best in the cities of cordoba and a stop at carmona. we went with two guides. I some how cudnt get his name, but he was the best we had in the entire tour. Warm, patient and considerate with just precise explanation pf monuments. I think njat is just so true to its name introduces you to their cities and culture as local. Thank you so much for giving us such wonderful memories.

My warmest thanks to Mahsa for brilliantly coordinating this tour for us. It’s always been a dream for us to visit Cordoba and its famous Mezquita.
We added on a small stop to the Medina Azzahra, a largely overlooked ruins just outside of Cordoba and it was planned well.
We were given a local private tour of the mezquita by Angel, so so knowledgable and really kept the explanation and information short and simple. I could see his passion in telling us the history and stories of this amazing mosque-Cathedral.
Our guide Jose was a true gentleman and kept up a good pace for my mum who has a bad knee and was less mobile. We weren’t just whisked off from one area to another but given adequate time for pictures and shopping. Jose gave a unique, down to earth and totally local spin to our tour and doesnt make it feel too tourist-y. He even shared with us local pastries made by his dear aunt who lived in Cordoba!
My family throroughly enjoyed our tour and would definitely book again.

I would recommend doing a day trip to Córdoba from Seville. It’s definitely worth seeing and I think a day trip is the perfect way to see it. Alba was a wonderful guide, so knowledgeable about the history and the area. It felt like our friend was touring us around the city. It was a nicely paced tour, we saw a lot and weren’t rushed anywhere. Transportation to and from was comfortable. I would recommend this tour company to anyone traveling in the area.

I booked a tour from Seville to Córdoba for our family of six, including a 22 month old. José picked us up at our VRBO apartment right on time at 0800. From the moment we met, I knew he was the right guy. He took a shine to my grandson right away. His only goal was to make sure we had a great day – and we certainly did. He knew the Old Town like the back of his hand and showed us things we never would have seen on our own. Can’t say enough good things about José and our wonderful tour. I booked the tour online before we came. If you need any kind of tour in Seville or the surrounding area, I highly recommend Not Just a Tourist.

My family and I really enjoyed this day trip tour from Sevilla. Gabriele, the guide and driver, picked us up near our hotel. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable guide and a careful safe driver too! The approximately 1.5 hour drive passed quickly while talking to him about local history and culture. After arriving in Cordoba, we were met by another great guide who specifically showed us around the Mosque. This is a truly awe-inspiring site and, by itself, is worth the drive from Seville. After the Mosque tour, we were again met by Gabriele who then showed us other sites around Cordoba. I highly recommend both the tour and Gabriele.

Carlos drove my partner and I to Cordoba for the day and showed us the sights. What a wonderful way to see this fascinating town. If we went on our own, we would undoubtedly have gotten lost and missed many of the nooks and crannies Carlos pointed out to us. Carlos is such a kind gentleman, and as a local Seville resident, he was able to fill us in on so much about the culture and politics of the area, past and present. Our visit to Cordoba was enriched by this tour with Carlos. A real treat.

We are family of four, with 2 kids (9 and 11) joined two day trips, one to Ronda and the other one to Cordoba. Thanks to our tour guide ( Habi ) and the training tour guide ( Carolina). They were very hospitable and were very interested and knowledgeable about the sights and the architecture. They make the highlight of our trip. Highly recommended. Thanks again to Habi and Carolina.
