We loved these classes! Our instructor, Kati, was the best! She was super friendly and a great teacher. She made the steps seem easily and was very encouraging even though we weren’t very good. She definitely made our trip so much fun and taught us so much! She was very passionate about her craft and you can just feel it pouring out of her in waves. I now have a deep interest in flamenco and would gladly see any flamenco show because of her!

I went to the flamenco box workshop of Not Just a Tourist in Sevilla, our teacher was David. It was great, I had a good time and it’s so much fun to play the flamenco box.
David is a very friendly guy and a good teacher, as he plays in a band himself.
You also learn about the clapping techniques of flamenco.
I think anyone can do it, but a little sence of rhythm can be useful 😉

My daughter and I did this activity back in September and I can’t describe how much fun we had!! The ‘trip’ was easy to organise online, communication was very good and details of where to go very easy to understand.
Fernando was the nicest, friendliest and most informative person you could want to meet! He explained so much about the flamenco drum, its history and its use in Spain today – he obviously has a passion for what he does and a great pride in having been taught by one of the best.
We really did have an intensive lesson learning different rhythms and Fernando had so much patience with us. He suggested we filmed him demonstrating and this has meant that we have been able to carry on practicing at home.
I would like Fernando to know that we purchased a flamenco drum for my daughter on her birthday and she is improving day by day!!
I can recommend this trip for anyone who has a genuine love of Spanish music, dance and culture – you will not regret it!!!
