More information
We’re not just going to the coast, we’re going under it, over it and relaxing on it!
From your hotel door we will roll straight down the mountain edge until we hit the tempting shores and beach town of Nerja. Here hides the region’s natural cave. Discovered a mere 64 years ago, and dating back many more, it’s hanging stalactites hide a multitude of treasures, artefacts, archaic art and the biggest stalagmite in the world. Follow your audio guide as you head underground to uncover the truth.
Then it’s time to unwind on the aptly named Spanish ‘Coast of Sun’. Choose to practise your kayaking or stand up for some paddle surfing in an attempt to explore the waters. If that’s not your thing, take the Spanish way with sand, siesta and vino.
Enjoy lunch, a delicious fried fish on the coast or a warm stew in the mountain village of Frigiliana, your next stop. This white village boasts amazing views of the shore and lush surrounding mountains. Your guide will take you through the array of charming streets, spluttered with enchanting doorways and hiding a unique past.
There truly is something for everyone to enjoy, no matter your age. As you let the Spanish beach air infiltrate your pores, from the cool caves to sea breeze even the children will be entertained.
Heading back home and up to Granada, don’t forget to look back out to sea. The perfect end to your day on the coast

As temperatures were very high in Granada we decided to take a day trip to the coast to escape the heat. Having done a few tours with Not Just a Tourist and being very happy with their service we gave them a call. In a very short time Mahsa was able to set up a private tour for us to the coast and even arrange a kayaking session close to some gorgeous cliffs. The kayak instructor spoke good English and was very motivating. We also visited a very nice cave with amazing structures. The tour was with headphones but that worked perfectly for us. Really recommend this tour during summer and especially with kids or outdoors lovers.

Urs was a very accommodating guide and made sure we had a perfect day. We first stopped at a nice view point over the sea and the cliffs, then did a tour of the cave which was way bigger than we had expected with some amazing structures inside and then headed to a mountain village called Frigiliana. It was very nice to see how the scenery changes the moment we headed landwards.

This is the perfect activity for families and kids. It was really hot in Granada and we decided to take a trip to the coast. Not Just a Tourist designed a tailor-made tour for us where we could visit the cave which the kids really loved as it was very cool inside, a kayaking trip along some impressive cliffs and also a drive to a white village with views over the ocean. It was a very relaxing tour and we all enjoyed it.

Excellent service! On a last minute basis we decided to take a tour from Granada to the seaside and Not Just a Tourist was able to arrange for us a customized tour with a private guide. It was a wonderful day on the beach. The beach itself has no sand but the color was really nice and blue and there were many locals there with restaurants, bars and a lot of water activities. Our guide took us to a nice palace famous for its Paella which was by far the best food we had so far in Spain. A great day on the beach!

Nerja is very close to Granada and makes for a convenient day trip where you can visit everything, sea, mountains, cave and the coast line. Frigiliana was also a very interesting town and much less touristy that most places where we have been to.
